My goal is create templates that are as user friendly as possible, but PDF template buyers will still need:
- basic computer skills
- to be able to edit text using a toolbar similar to those in Microsoft Word
- be willing to install the newest free version of Adobe Reader
To keep DIY costs low, STEP-BY-STEP Technical Support is NOT INCLUDED with purchase.
We do provide very specific information, in every listing, clearly defining what program & technical skills buyers will need to use our templates. We also offer a broad set of TOOLS & INFO to help buyers through the process - including detailed instructions, visual tutorials, a thorough troubleshooting guide and FAQ's.
If the buyer has the required skills that we have outlined and uses our instructions/tutorials/troubleshooting, then they WILL be able to use our files.
Digital Product pricing is mainly calculated based on the time spent creating the files, the support time provided after purchase and/or the after purchase editing time.
DIY means DO IT YOURSELF and that pricing is calculated based on the fact that the seller will not be investing time after purchase. The price is mainly calculated based on creation time only.
I prefer to focus my time working on new designs, rather than editing templates, so I have chosen to sell ONLY DIY files. DIY files require buyers to have certain software and skills, BUT the cost of the template is less, because it does not include after purchase assistance.
If you prefer NOT to DIY, there are also sellers who sell completed/print ready files (they edit the files for you & save for print) in the price range of $18–24 for a finished 5 x 7 ready to print DIGITAL FILE. You pay more for the sellers time to edit your file and provide you with support.
To use our files, you will need the newest version of Adobe Reader, which is FREE software. Our files DO NOT work in older versions of Adobe Reader, because we have chosen to embed the fonts for you, so that you will hopefully not have to install fonts. PDF files ONLY work in Adobe Reader.
PDF (EDITABLE FILES)
1. HOME PRINTING is the recommended printing method for PDF files (quality will depend on your home printer)
2. U.S. LOCAL PRINT SHOPS (OfficeMax, Kinko's, Staples, etc)*
*You (the buyer) are FULLY RESPONSIBLE for finding a Printer. Due to our varied locations I CAN NOT help you. The print shops above are suggestions only. Every print shop offers different services depending on LOCATION, even print shops of the same name/franchise (such as OfficeMax) may not print PDF files at EVERY LOCATION, especially outside of the U.S.
★ IMPORTANT NOTE ★
PDF files CAN NOT BE PRINTED via online printers, photo labs or kiosks. INCLUDING, but not limited to: WalMart, Costco, Walgreens, Vistaprint, etc.
JPG (NON-EDITABLE FILES)
Print JPG files w/guides from home (quality will depend on your home printer) OR print the file without guides at your local printer (such as OfficeMax, Kinko's, etc) or online printer.
Digiluxe is not responsible for printing errors.
All files are provided at the highest print quality level, which is 300dpi.
Your final print quality will depend on your home printer, it's brand, quality of the model, paper settings and age are all factors. With that said, I am not able to take responsibility for the quality of your final print.
If you print quality is not as as expected, I recommend professional printing.
For your convenience, our template DO NOT require font installation.

IF for some reason A BASIC FONT IS NOT WORKING, CHOOSE ANOTHER SIMILAR FONT FROM YOUR FONT LIBRARY and apply it to the text in the box using the text properties toolbar.
IF YOU WANT TO USE YOUR OWN TYPEFACES, use the Text Properties Toolbar (by clicking CTRL + E) to change the fonts to something YOU own on YOUR computer.

PDF TROUBLESHOOTING
The newest version of Adobe Reader must be installed to save an edited file. Older versions of reader did not always allow for saving edits. Please, download and install the newest version of reader here: ADOBE READER.

PLEASE NOTE: Refunds WILL NOT be given simply because you have to use your own typeface. You can easily make the template look similar to identical with your own typefaces, if for some crazy reason you do not have ARIAL & TIMES NEW ROMAN. Both fonts look like every other font out there, that is why I chose them
START TYPING IN THE MIDDLE OF A LINE OF TEXT, then go back and delete the rest later. For example, if the text box says “Join Us for a Bridal Shower” type over “Bridal Shower” with your text and leave the rest. Then once you are done typing in your text, go back and delete “Join Us for a.” If your computer is struggling with an embedded font, when you remove the entire line of text at once, the formatting might also be removed. Typing in middle of the line of text will hopefully allow the formatting to stay within the text box.
OR Use your own fonts. SEE #3 ABOVE FOR ADDITIONAL info
THE “+” SIGN ONLY APPEARS WHEN THERE IS TOO MUCH OR TOO LARGE OF TYPE IN THE TEXT BOX. You will need to either remove some type or change the size of the type to a smaller size. The type for your event has to fit in the text box.
Another possibility, if you accidentally hit enter after you typed in your info, that can cause the “+” sign to appear. The enter makes the template think that there is another line of type. Try putting your cursor at the very end of your type and then hitting delete for a bit. That will remove any formatting that was accidentally made below your type.
If your type is being cut-off then the size of the type in the text box is too large. You will need to change the size of the type to a smaller size or change the font to another that fits into the box with your wording.
As stated in the listing you purchased, the text boxes are NOT movable or re-sizable. Your event text MUST be made to fit in the pictured text box. If your text is not fitting, you can try:
Making the text in that text box a smaller size using the text properties tool bar (CTRL +E)
You can change the font to another font that is thinner using the text properties tool bar (CTRL +E)
You can re-arrange the words in the boxes to be split differently
